The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has urged the Scottish Government to give some clarity on restarting the house buying and selling process, including inspections and valuations. 

The RICS called on the UK Government last month to explore some confidence boosting measures for the residential market when it is safe to resume.  Apparently 62% of the UK members of RICS believe that a Stamp Duty holiday would boost sales and keep prices unchanged and on this basis, they are urging the Scottish Government to make the same assessment of the Land and Building Transaction Tax regime which applies in Scotland.
