Clutha Trust logo png 468011Raeside Chisholm Solicitors are working with The Clutha Trust through this pandemic to help supply food parcels to the vulnerable throughout our community.

The Clutha Trust is the charity that rose from the tragic accident at the Clutha Bar in 2013. They are an Arts charity that help disadvantaged young people through music, drama etc. Having knowledge of how poverty affects young people and their families and being a creative charity, they decided to put their skills and contacts to good use to help through this crisis.

They have converted their charity hub at 100 Morrison St Glasgow into a food distribution centre. They source the food through their many contacts and bulk buy. Food parcels are then made up by our volunteers – they have only 3 people running this.

The parcels are then distributed through other charities/organisations. These range from Gorbals Housing
Association, Spirit Aid, Barrowfield  COVID Group, Lights on G1, Refuweegee, Glasgow South East Foodbank, Barnardo’s Easterhouse, Govanhill Community, Maryhill Baby foodbank and The Swamp Pollok.

They are now distributing over 500 parcels per week and the numbers are rising. The coming weeks will be difficult for everyone but if you can help please donate to https://www.gofundme.com/f/clutha-bar.

Thank you!
