Raeside Chisholm Solicitors Blog
Raeside Chisholm are proud to be participating in Will Aid this November in an attempt to help change the lives of people in the UK and around the world.
There are nine Will Aid charities who benefit from this scheme, all of whom work to transform the lives of people in the UK and around the world: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire. If you require a basic Will, we will be waiving our fees in November 2015, in the hope that our clients will make a donation to the Will Aid charities. The suggested donation level is £95 for a single basic Will and £150 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.
Recent media reports have been filled with numerous examples of botched wills and the dangers that can come from trying to create a will at the cheapest rate.
A woman has been awarded more than £160,000 in compensation after she challenged the will of her estranged mother.
A botched will provided by Barclays cost a daughter half of her father’s estate, with the low cost will used by her father failing to properly relate to his complex family circumstance.
