I commenced my career with a long established Glasgow Firm and was as customary initially involved in all aspects of the Law.
In the early 80’s I opened a branch office for that Firm in East Kilbride and developed that practice through being engaged by East Kilbride Development Corporation to deal with House Sales in terms of the Right to Buy Legislation and Inward Investment from Multi National Companies such as Motorola involving Commercial Leasing.
My Firm merged with Macdonalds Solicitors in the late 80’s where I was heavily involved for 30 years in their main specialisation acting on behalf of major Housebuilders in Land Acquisitions and Disposals for volume Housing Developments.
I was also Head of their Private Client Department
On the merger of Macdonalds and Morton Fraser in 2013 I moved to assist Gilson Gray in establishing their Glasgow Office and since 2017 continued developing my Private Client Practice as Consultant with WGM Legal.
I am now delighted to be working as Consultant with the team in the merged practice with Raeside Chisholm.
Whilst studying at University I was also a Professional Footballer which continued until injury ended my career in my early twenties
I now relax by “masquerading” as a Golfer as often as work and family ( Carol, son and twin daughters) allow
