A Scottish hospital has failed to improve its care for the elderly despite concerns in regards to its services following an inspection.
An anti-cyber scamming initiative run by the police and the prosecution service is helping elderly people protect themselves from cyber-fraud. The course began this week and so far 50 people aged over 65 have taken part.
A collaboration of eight charities called the “Ready For Ageing Alliance” have produced an 11 point guide for older people on how to make the most of old age and ensure their health and happiness. David Sinclair of the International Longevity Centre,said:
A scheme has been developed to provide additional meals for older people. The scheme is designed to tackle health inequalities and food poverty. The scheme is called Meal-Makers and is funded by the the Scottish Government-funded.
