Scotland surpasses 500 £1 million plus home sales

Scotland has seen a rapid increase of property sales at above £1 million – some 504 properties sold at this level in the last year, which was the most ever.

The number of £1m sales in Scotland has risen by 80% in the last two years alone, with over 68% of the total properties sold in the £1 million plus market being in Edinburgh and the Lothians, and specifically the EH10 postcode being the most common area for a price over £1 million to be achieved. Thirty-two of the £1mllion plus homes were in Glasgow, while the St. Andrews area delivered 17 £1million plus sales in 2022.
