The body representing independent care services have called for health spending to be frozen and the subsequent funds diverted into improving care for the elderly.

A Scottish hospital has failed to improve its care for the elderly despite concerns in regards to its services following an inspection.

A collaboration of eight charities called the “Ready For Ageing Alliance” have produced an 11 point guide for older people on how to make the most of old age and ensure their health and happiness. David Sinclair of the International Longevity Centre,said:
